Responsibilities

  • Handles worker's compensation claims in conjunction with the County’s TPA
  • Assists in the preparation of State workers' compensation filings, reports, and self-insurance permit renewals
  • Act as liaison between injured employees, TPA, and medical providers
  • Conducts workers' compensation training for all County Departments
  • Works with Department supervision & medical providers to get injured employees safely back to work as soon as possible
  • Analyzes losses to identify trends and opportunities to develop and implement prevention strategies

 

 

Human Resources Consultant
County Technical Services, Inc

A non-profit/public entity membership organization seeks a qualified HR Representative/Consultant to assist the Loss Control team in reducing losses due to employment related claims. This hybrid “work-from-home/office” position will need to reside/relocate in the Greater Denver Metro Area of Colorado. The position may be expected to travel with overnight stays. A CTSI vehicle will be provided. The position will be responsible for employee relations, HR programs and training for county members.

Requirements: Candidates should have an undergraduate or advanced degree in human resources or other applicable field. Must have at least have 5 years’ experience in human resources, employment or management-labor relations positions with special emphasis in loss control or claims administration, preferable with one or more public employers; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations/laws, excellent written and oral communication and computer skills, the ability to develop and present effective training programs, previous experience working with public entities, applicable degree, legal license, and professional certification.

Salary Range: The salary range for the position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
